[ddots-l] Moving audio on CD

I am venturing in doing a project for someone: it is to move a number of
tips on cd to create a preaching albumb, or compilation. Now, what piece of
hardware would you guys recommend that I buy to play the audio tips and how
do I ultimately would transfer them into the computer for further mixing,
such as adding reverb, etc?
I was thinking of buying a tapedeck, is that ideal? If not, then what do you
guys use for that purpose.
