You have a decent mixer and sound card as is. What you might want to think
about getting is a different microphone. Your standard vocal microphone is
the Sure SM 57 or Sure SM 58.
Also, you could try going directly into the soundcard and then adjust the E
Q and effects afterwards. The Sure microphones are excellent uni
directional mics and tthey last forever. So, if you can even get one used
($100) it's well worth it.

recording vocals. I have a behrenger 202 mixer, and a
delta 44 soundcard, and I have a Cad 2200 condenser
mic. What can I do, or which mixer do I need to get
so I don't have any distortion on my tracks, cuzz even
if I put a compresser on them I still get it. And I
tend to sing pretty hot at times.
