Hi Bill,
that was exactly the help I needed. As I had problems to get to the input
and output of the fronteer control surface I deleted it to get a quick
result. Hopefully I will be able to reinstall it without kicking off the
Jaws authorization.
Thanks a lot!
Wolfgang

Dear Wolfgang,
Might you have the Frontier TranzPort or another control surface attached
to
your PC? When I have this problem, I too hear random MIDI percussion
sounds.
I have found that sometimes Windows or SONAR (I am not sure which or
either!) gets confused and I have to reset the input and output values for
the port settings of my TranzPort.
Run SONAR and go to Options | Controllers/Surfaces. Tab to the list of
control surfaces and highlight the one you use. Press RIGHT ARROW to move
to Input or Output columns. Then press ENTER to open a list of ports you
can select.
HTH,
Bill
