Hi Gord, actually the unit does have two little display panels, but what I have been told by my sales rep is that they are only used to see what you are controlling, rather then having to look up at the monitor all the time. For example Fader or panning. However just to let you know that when I use the transport, or solo or mute functions on the unit Caketalking does not report the solo state, or mute state. To continue, The sales man also asured me that once I configured some settings in the control panel IE monitoring and so forth that all the functions would be controled by Sonar, and so far I have been able to configure it to use the mackie mode. Prior to my last poste I stated that I couldn't hear any audio, this is still the case, however I am able to hear what is going in to my line inputs. ----- Original Message ----- From: Gordon Kent To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, March 08, 2006 7:57 AM Subject: [ddots-l] Re: M-audio Project mix Hey: LEt us all know when you get it working. I had a feeling this would be the case. This is one of those units that has no screen so once it is set up it could be a winner, and we may want to sell it. Straight out of the box the unit is simple to hook up, and the lay out of the unit is arranged rather nicely. However, as it uses the m-audio firewire control panel which is used for the fw1814, or 4-10 I find the control panel to be not accessible. Does anyone out there know what or how to use the control panel? I know that its a control surface as well, but is there any configuring to do? For some reason I can't hear any audio coming out of this thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
