Hello kevin, to date i havent gottin any thing back. she told the cops,
some one ripped off the stuff she took from my house. except for one t v,
and one anvill guitar case, which she had stowed in an abandon building.
the cops wint to this billding, and said they did not find any thing.
But one of these days, wreal wreal, soon i will get justice.

hello all, my i s p or email sirver has been acting up lately. i have
tryed to post on this subject three times. i have pritty good sucurity
at
the studio. we have motion detecters, and sencers on all dors. we are
on
the third flowr, and you must have a key to open a lock in the ellivator
before the button for the third flowr will work. if you dont use a key
to
tirn the lock you can press three all day long and the car wont move. i
keep all microphones under lock and key. and only get out the ones that
i
am useing for each session. i allways start taring down before the
client
leavs. i collect all microphones and after that, there is not a lot
they
could pack out unless they wanted stands or cords. most of my other
gear is
to bulky to carry with out looking conspicuwous. let me sey i have been
more careful about who i bring in for tures of my place, after my house
was
broken in to a few weaks ago the person who did that, was picked up
this
past thirsday. she admitted she new me by sight, new i was blind, and
that
i was not at home whin she busted in. thats something that wrealy sucks
about beeing v i, you dont know if any one is watching you. this person
was
across the street wateing for me to leave, and i did not know. but any
how,
i get some suspect people who want to ture the studio. some guy will
want
to do vocal over dubs and need about three hours of work, and he will
want
to come and see the place before he will agree to book a session. this
has
started to trouble me. first off you are not recording an orchestra,
there
is no need to know how large the place is for one person vocal over
dubbs.
secont no other studio's in cincinnati will do this for you, why should
i?
third, its just $150, or do you wrealy have $150 to spend? i have
started
telling people to look at the web site, we have pictures that can giv
you a
good idea of the stile and size of the mane recording room, drum booth,
and
controll room. i am pritty sure we have pictures of most of the smaller
rooms as well. whin some one calls me with the old walk through
request, it
makes me wonder if they have been to the web site, and have red my bio,
and
know that i am blind. it is a possibility that they would think i am a
push
over. evin though i am 6 1, 200 pounds, have long hair, and tattoo's.
As
well as a jerman shepperd guide dog. most of the thuggs in
cincinnati
dont care. they either have guns or a crack habbet, or both. crime
here is
rammpad, and some of the clients i work with, talk openly about there
crimes in there songs... this can bee unnirving at times, but i own a
smith and wesson my self. thats the way it has to bee here, and it is a
darn shame. whin i lived in new york city, i felt safer than i do here.

My remarks were only meant to be a quick chuckle to start!
I use to own and operate a recording studio several years ago, back in
the
(strictly) analog days, in New York. The way I handled most sessions
was
to
have an assistant to work with the clients while I worked on the more
technical parts of the recording process. It really does take more
then
one
person to meet the needs of musicians. It is always very easy to find
a
young and energetic up-and-coming recording engineer/musician that is
glad
to simply be involved in the recording process. I realize that most
sessions today are likely to be smaller and not in need of more then
one
person to run the session, but again, there is often a person that
just
loves to be part of it all.
I started out the same way back in the seventies working in a college
radio
station doing PSAes. After a while, I was able to manage the studio
for
the
college and was off on my way. After all, I don't like creating
anything
to
share with the world, if there's nobody there to share it with. I
guess
this is one of the major reasons why I am now married with four
children
that I now work and play Christian music in a ministry of our own.
I was only half kidding when I said that you could hire the Wal-Mart
greeter
part time. If you feel like you should have eyes present with a new
client
that you don't have much information on, just hire someone for the
sessions
until your comfortable.
On a more technical note, there are so many affordable security
systems available from Mini Cams to full blown tagging systems just
like the Wal-Mart guy has.
Well, that's enough for now from me, I just like to have a little fun
once and a while!
