[ddots-l] Re: [MIDI-MAG] Dancing Dots Releases CakeTalking for Cakewalk SONAR 3: New Possibilities for Independent Audio Production by the Blind

Hi Douk,

First, I suggest you contact Dancing Dots as regards access
to the download area. They will provide you with a link.

On the matter of the JAWS version, please don't blame
Dancing Dots, or even Freedom Scientific. There are aspects
of Sonar 3 which simply cannot be handled with anything
other than JAWS 5.1. For starters, Cakewalk/Sonar changed
some icons which earlier versions of JAWs simply cannot see
no matter how good anyone is at scripting JAWS. Without
access to these new fangled icons you would be completely
lost.

So if anyone is to blame, it's the Sonar guys.

I believe this is called "progress". (Smile)

George.

CakeTalking for Cakewalk SONAR 3: New Possibilities for
Independent Audio Production by the Blind

Hi Guys:
I tried to download CT for Sonar 3, but it only gave me
purchase options, and sometimes I get messages from internet
explorer that the server cannot be found. Is there any
direct way to download the program?
In the mean time, I'd like to express that I am unhappy
since I purchased the package on the understanding that I
would get the upgrade to CT for sonar 3 free. But now, I
learn that the upgrade is contingent on having Jaws 5.1. I
only have Jaws 4.51. Is this a marketing thingy for Jaws or
what? Why can't we still use Jaws 4.51 with CT for sonar 3?
Thank you.
Douk
