Christopher:
Sfz will not display patches in the track properties dialog. You need to
select them from the sfz peroperties window. When you press f4, there are
options there for selecting the bank and patch.

Ok, I used to know how to load sound fonts into Live Synth Pro, and I
figured the procedure would be similar with the differing interface taken
into account. So, I opened up the property sheet for sfz, hit F4 and
chose the load sound font button.. I navigated the standard file-open
dialogue that followed, selected my sound font and closed out the property
sheet. Then, from my midi track, I chose properties and after making sure
I had selected a MIDI channel, I went to the patch browser to select my
patch.
I found no patches there, they were all undefined. The bank was set to 0,
the only one in this particular sound font. Now I'm sure I've missed
something small and important, but this is exactly the procedure I would
have used before, so what did I forget to do?
