How much RAM does your system have and what's the speed of your processor?
The Cakewalk TTS software synthe does take up a lot of RAM and if you're
running low, Windows has to swap info from RAM back and forth onto your hard
disk. Although that happens relatively quickly, it will produce a
perceptible delay in real time.

Hi: I am using Sonar 4 producer with caketalking and Xp along with a delta
66 sound card. When I use the Cakewalk tts soft synth there is a lot of
latency. I've tried what is suggested in caketalking, but it doesn't help.
