[ddots-l] Re: Just grabbed Cake Talking.

Hi Kevin welcome to the list. I did actually listen to yur broadcast on ACB
main menu, and I have to say that you did a fantastic job in working with the
Mac. For some reason when i plan to purchase a new system I come this close in
purchasing the Mac, but then for some reason I'm always landing on the PC side.
I have been a Ct user since 2000, and have been using Cakewalk since 1996, and
have been really satisfied with my recordings.
I have been dealing with Bill since 1996, and its thanks to Bill, Gord, and
David why I continued my music career on the Pc.
Good luck to you on your learning of Ct, and Sonar, and if you ever need
assistance feel free to contact me. Take care

Hey folks. Just wanted to pop on real quick and say hey. I've decided to add
Sonar to my current recording rig, so have just recently purchased Cake
Talking. I should be getting my key when offices open Monday morning. For those
of you who may not be aware, I've been a Pro Tools user on the mac since 2001.
Pro tools works absolutely fabulously if you are planning to use it as a
linnear tape deck. However, if you are wanting to work with softsynths, the
hottest new plugins, and compose in a non-linear fashion, it's not the ideal
setup. The O S that powers an accessible version of Pro Tools is antiquated,
and the newest version of Pro Tools is completely inaccessible. So, I'll put
Sonar in the mix to compensate. My plan is to learn Sonar and CT and intigrate
it with the Motif XS via the M Lan interface. That, combined with other
softsynths should give me a pretty interesting palate to work with. Who knows.
Maybe I'll end up ditching Pro Tools all together. Anyway, just wanted to say
hey, and am looking forward to learning this new platform.
