MessageWhich, just goes to show that Jaws keeps checking that it is authorised
all the time. Just what we all need when we are trying to run stable audio
DAW's.

It is definitely a Jaws auth message. If I have my motu 82 connected to my
laptop and switch it on after jaws boots, I will get that message after a few
minutes.

This message is not generated by CakeTalking but, apparently, by JAWS
itself. I have heard of situations where the ILM version of JAWS insists that
the current unit of JAWS is not authorized after something in the user's set-up
changes. For example, one uses the FW 1884 with an authorized copy of JAWS.
Then, one day, you boot up with that unit no longer attached to your system
and, suddenly, JAWS wakes up, looks around and tells you that you need to
authorize your ILM. For situation slike this one, most customers just use an
extra one of their authorization keys to authorize JAWS for both when the 1884
is attached and when it is not.

David, do you have any firewire devices attached to your system? Can
anyone tell us what this "error 6" really means? I'm assuming it has to do
with JAWS authorization but we all know what often happens when we assume!

    Bill

      Hi David,

If this is being generated as a result of Caketalking for Sonar 4 being
installed, I suggest you contact Dancing Dots. Hopefully they will be able to
troubleshoot this for you fairly quickly.

      George.

Hi George, My copy of Jaws is licensed over the internet, however I'm
still getting this Jaws error 6. Do you know the fix for this?
      Thanks in advance.

        Essentially, "Internet Licensing Method".

Instead of the floppy disk method of activating JAWS, it is done over
the Internet.

        George.

I get this error with an ILM version of Jaws, when I come back from
being on stand by.

If your machine goes on stand by, when you come back from stand by
you will have to reboot jaws. That's been my experience.

I get an error 6 That says this feature is not license to run on this
machine.
I got a message saying it was easy to fix but no solution.
