George,

You're keeping secrets -- what's this wonderful Braille program that gets
around the activation?

Of course if as a dealer you can't divulge, then consider this message just to
be a wink-wink nudge-nudge say no more.

Dave

The one way JAWS Activation process is a real pain, but I don't see them
changing it any time soon. With a (unnamed) braille program I use, one can
de-activate, add memory, drives or whatever, and then re-activate.

However, to ascertain if it is possibly your firewall causing the problem, or
you have simply run out of activations, go to

  https://secure.freedomscientific.com/RNBO/Home/Installs_View2.asp

(Long URL ending in "View2.asp" to watch out for wrap)

You can enter your serial number, and it will tell you how many activations
you have left.

There is also a link on that same page for requesting a reset of your
activations if you find you don't have any.

  George.

Is your system on line? Maybe your firewall is blocking freedom's internet
program. You might want to try disabling your av software's firewall.

Yup fell victem To the dredded jaws activation thing. I added a gig of
ram, and jaws comes up wanting to be re activated. So I say wat the heck, sure
go ahead, and it says that there's a prob with my net work or something, and my
computer fellow says that's not the trouble, that I'll need to get with freedom
scientific monday and get a new activation key. So I figure well jee I'll run
jaws in demo mode, but then caketalking tells me I can't work with those
scripts in sonar until I pay for them. I guess I'll just get the whole thing
handled on Monday unless someone has any thoughts on what else I might do.
