Is the music you are playing back something you recorded through sonar, or something you imported? If it's an import, when you play the file say in winamp or windows media player, does the file play instantly? Try this: create a new project, insert an audio track, clear the selection, then go to file>import>audio and load the file; it should be imported at bar 1. I will also suggest that using your systems sound card for use with sonar is not a good idea; you can run into problems with your drivers being taken up by your system and sonar not being able to access them for a undetermined amount of time, or you can run into sample rate issues... Regarding the locating the first note of a file, you can certainly do that in the events view, but I believe this is with midi files only; you can try telling the events view to show all events and see if the beginning of the audio shows up as an event... I have two issues going on. The first is not hearing anything with my soundcard; the second is not finding any music in my file. I'll explain further. First of all, how can I make it so that I hear the audio that I have loaded in to sonar? I try loading a .wav file but don't hear anything. I have set the inputs and outputs to my Sigmatel soundcard and set the driver to MME32 bit. Why can't I hear any audio? My Second problem, I had my sited professor look at the screen to determine whether something was recorded on track 1. I was at the beginning of the file and Sonar said that the file was recorded on, but nothing was coming out of the soundcard. Come to find out, all of the imported tracks begin playing at bar 150 or at bar 183 instead of at bar 1. I would like for the tracks to begin playing at measure 1. Also, is there a key command that will take me to the first recorded note on the track? This way, I don't have to depend on my professor for sited assistance to locate the first note on measure 150. Thanks in advance, your help is greatly appreciated. Chuy <H PLEASE READ THIS FOOTER AT LEAST ONCE!
