[ddots-l] Re: Hardware Question

What if you actually want to use the sounds from the keyboard for some tracks and other hardware or soft synths for other tracks?

Why are people obsessed with local off? Just turn the sound down! Is that
not practicle?

Sharon:
What kind of Roland keyboard do you have? You'll need to find out how to
set it to "midi local off" mode so that you won't hear sound out of it
unless you are on a midi track that is assigned to it in Sonar. You'll
also
need to make sure you know how to put it into a "multi timbral" (sometimes
just called performance or multi) mode so that you can assign different
instruments or sounds to different midi channels in your sonar projects.
Orion is not accessible for us.
