Hmm, think the .aud.ini file is hidden down in the documents and settings\user name\applicationdata\cakewalk\Sonar 7 folder. Audio should be on its own directory other than C. -----Original Message-----From: ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ddots-l-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] OnBehalf Of Stacy Bleeks Sent: Wednesday, March 19, 2008 6:03 PM To: ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [ddots-l] Re: Glitches and pops?If you are using WDM drivers, you should run the wave profiler found underoptions/audio.If this doesn't solve the problem try increasing your buffer size by 2 then4 if that doesn't work. To find the aud.ini file go to the drive where your audio resides and use the control f find function to locate all programs and files using the "aud.ini" text. h t h ----- Original Message ----- From: "pop.tiscali.co.uk" <m-christer@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <ddots-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, March 19, 2008 6:20 PM Subject: [ddots-l] Glitches and pops?Hey DD peeps! I'm getting little pops and crackles coming out of my monitors, but I'm only playing back 1 track of audio, and I'm playing along. I have a project open with 4 audio trax with 1 plug-in inserted on each channel. I went to the Cakewalk website and found out about the AUD.INI file, which I could alter in order to solve my problem. However, I can't find the AUD.INI file on my system? Please can you help, this is driving me crazy, my buffers are currently set to 256kHz. I realise that this should only happen with a project with numerous audio trax happening, so I'm very confused! I'm running a Carillon dual core pentium 4 system, with 2Gb of RAM, and 650 Gb of hard disc space. I'm also running Sonar 6 Pro, with the latest version of Cake Talking. Please can you help?
