What version of windows xp are you using, home or pro? 

I am using WinXP home service pack 2.


Have you ever had, or do you currently have, earlier versions of Sonar such has 2 or 3 on your system? 

I had Sonar 3.


Are you using a Mark of the Unicorn audio interface? 

No.

Has your system ever had, or does it currently have Window eyes on it? 

No.

Thanks for reassuring me that I have not had an overly optimistic view of my admittedly small competence. I thought sure I understood how to get the bloody thing to produce sounds, no matter how unpolished.
