[ddots-l] For those having problems with the patch wasRe: Help, installed Sonar 4.03 and now nothing is playing.

Christopher:
It has nothing to do with your cabling. Could you, and everybody else who has a problem with the patch, please let me know the following:
What version of windows xp are you using, home or pro?
Have you ever had, or do you currently have, earlier versions of Sonar such has 2 or 3 on your system?
Are you using a Mark of the Unicorn audio interface?
Has your system ever had, or does it currently have Window eyes on it?

Thanks:
Gord

Subject: [ddots-l] Help, installed Sonar 4.03 and now nothing is playing.

I just installed the Sonar Producer patches to upgrade from 4.01 to 4.02, then 4.03. Now, when I load a project that was playing just fine, every time I hit play, JAWS reports "Return to beginning". If I hit record on a MIDI track, JAwS reports "Out of record"> Sonar will no longer play either MIDI or Audio tracks.

1. I have checked all cabling, and so far as I can see, it's correct.

2. I checked to make sure all devices were selected, as when I originally ran Sonar 4.03, all my MIDI devices were unselected. I have made sure my m-audio module is selected. there appears to be a new entry for the M-audio USB key station, which I selected as well during one my efforts to troubleshoot the problem.

3. I reinstalled the cCakeTalking scripts.

None of these things has made any difference. Sonar appears to be seeing my audio and MIDI hardware, but it is unable to play or record through it. Is there some quirk about the 4.03 patch that I don't know about?
