Maybe I asked the question wrong. I was asking about the FW1884. I thought
the manual said that the EQ had to be in the affects bin in order for the Q
frequency and gain nobs on the Taskam to work.

Phil replied: no. When using the EQ with the FW1884, you always use the
EQ in the track inspector. That's why your able to enable the EQ and
individual bands for the EQ on a track/buss without opening the property
sheet for the EQ.

I put the fx
eq on a track like it said, I don't know what I am doing after that. I
thought it was just supposed to work
Phil replied: which version of Sonar are you using. The instructions
for setting up the FW1884 are way out of date. In order to use the EQ,
if your working in any version of Sonar above 2.2 then, you would use
the Sonitus Track EQ. If your using Sonar 6 and beyond, shoot me a
private E-mail and I will send you on the latest control surface .dll
for the FW1884. If your working in Sonar 3 and beyond, then, do the
following.
1: go to the track where you wish to use the EQ.
2: press the select button on the FW1884 for that track.
3: use the key combination Control Shift and one of the band buttons on
the FW1884 to turn the EQ on for that track.
4: in order to activate one of the band buttons, press the key
combination Shift and one of the band buttons on the FW1884.
5: now feel free to use the gain, freq and Q buttons on the FW1884 to
manipulate the EQ.
GF wrote: Please let me know what I am missing, or if this is even the
list to ask
this on. I am also posting this on another list as well.
Phil replied: Hopefully that's covered everything.
