Hi folks,
I thought I'd pass this along for those of you playing with equalizers, trying to turn common descripters into frequency values.

in order:

Chest/Thump 20-31.8 hz sub bass

Rumble 28 - 39 hz sub bass

AC/Ground 49-63hz sub bass

Bottom 60-90 hx bass

Boom/Punch 100-190 hz bass

Warmth 150-240hz bass

Fullness/Mud 190-475hz midrange

Honk 450-900hz midrange

Whack 800-1.8khz midrange

Tinny 1-2khz midrange

Treble 2.1- 20khz high mids & highs

Sibilance 4-9.7khz high mids & highs

Crunch 2-3.9khz high mids

Edge 3.6-5.8khz high mids

Definition 5.9-9.9khz highs

Pierce 8.4-13.5khz highs

Air 15-20khz highs

Note all freq are approximate !!!

Another good resource if you tend to think in terms of musical note names and octaves is:
