The other question is, are you controling each instance on its own MIDI
port? This can only be done if you have multiple independent instances of
DP. If he's controling on separate tracks which are on the same port, it
will make no difference.

Are you controling each instance of Dimention on separate MIDI tracks? You
really need to do that.

I have that part down to a science, however, here's the problem that I'm now
having: I put a drum set on track one, midi channel one, then, I put a
multi-sampled velocity highhat on track 2 midi channel two. For some reason,
the kick and snare drum of track 1 midi channel 1 started playing the
highhat track on track 2 midi channel two. What do you think the problem is?

Hello,

If you're using CakeTalking Sonar then there is an excellent tutorial on how
to do this.

Basically you set up a separate audio track for each instance. Each audio
track is a separate output and then the MIDI track can use whichever audio
track they want for the input.

I know that's vague, but that's the general idea.

Dave

Hello: What's the correct way of using more than one instance of dimension
Pro? For example: Using drums for one track, bass for another, strings ETC?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ernest.
