What I'm wanting is the original tempo of the loop before it has been adjusted 
with whatever tempo Sonar is set to when the loop is brought in.  

The reason is that I need to know the original tempo so that I can import loops 
into the Roland RC-50 Loop Station and have them sync up with the RC-50 guide 
tempo.

Can Sound Forge just tell me the total running time of the loop?  If I have 
time, then I can calculate the tempo.

Is anybody using the Roland RC-50 that I might be able to glean a few tips from 
you?

  Wait I'm confused, what do you mean?  Why wouldn't you want a loop to sink 
with sonar's tempo, most people wanna do that.  If you wanna find out the speed 
of the file, put it in sound forge, count out the beats in it, say 2 bars, 8 
beats, 4 bars, 16 beats, etc.  Then you put them in to sound forge's 
special>edit tempo box, you choose beats as the format, put in the number of 
beats in the box and the box next to it will update itself with the new speed.

  Hope this makes sense, as I'm not uite sure what you are asking...
