try copying the sections you want to apply the different effects to
different tracks and then insert realtime effects to effects bin and to
busses. this will give you much more flexibility and possibilities than
using destructive fx. the effects or e.q. that can be shared between tracks
can be applied to busses and the effect you only want for a single track
insert it directly to the track's effects bin.

Hi people. Do you remember in the good old days when sonar had the
"create a send submix" option in the destructive audio effects plugins
fields. Once this was selected, you could determine your return track.
Then you could mix a wet and dry single on two separate audio tracks.
This was really handy for reverbs as you could process a portion of
the audio and have the reverb carrying on, because it was creating a
send submix. This feature has gone with sonar 6. I don't know if it
went with sonar 4 or 5 as well because I've never used them, but I
think I'm going mad. All these features have been removed making it
impossible to do radio production work. This means I will never be
able to upgrade past sonar 3 because they have made this fatal flaw.
Help me please! I'm drowning in a sea of stress. No! Make that an ocean!
