Also, after narrowing your selection to controllers, I think you must use
the control-delete command and make sure that you check the box for
controllers, and that all other options are unchecked.

Yes there is. Select the track you're on, then You hold shift then hit f3.
the dialogue box opens up that gives you the option of what you want deleted.
It will say things like notes, controlers, patch, etc.

Subject: [ddots-l] Deleting controllers
Hi everyone,
I've loaded a project that was recorded from a hardware sequencer, I've
noticed an amazing amount of controller messages for example, there's a Snare
and Kick on bar 4, beat 2 and there must have been 200 idle controllers sitting
between the two of them! these controllers are doing nothing other than getting
on my blinking nerves.
I've been deleting them 1 by 1 in the event view, It's like playing
blinking Space invaders (Controllers are the bad guys and the notes being the
good guys). I never liked space invaders even when I could see!
there must be an easier way than deleting one by one?
Can anyone help with this problem?
Gordon, are you really flash gordon? Can you or any of the cyber team help
me zap the Controllers?
