Could you not see any parameters in the track  inspector at all?  Did you
enable the "Show Assignable Controls" option?

Interesting. I just tried both V-comp and R-comp, and nothing. NOt even any
changes when arrowing through presets.

I was trying a let's say shady older copy of version 5 though.
