Can I name a wave file that's part of a project but isn't exported? If you rename a wave file then, Sonar will not like that at all. The simpler way to do this would be to do all of the editing that you need to do on the various tracks in the project. Then, select all of the tracks that you have performed audio editing on. Now, use the "apply" trimming command. You will find that in the edit menu. alt and the letter E, followed by the letter Y will do it. This command, starts to separate out all of the audio that you would like to keep in the project, from the audio that you wish to delete. Now use the "bounce to clips" command in the edit menu. This will separate out all the audio that you wish to keep in the project on tracks that you have edited, and put it into a single wave file for each track. You could then run the "clean audio folder" command from the tools menu on the project folder where you have performed all of the audio editing. This will remove any audio from the project that you no longer require. You will then have no problem locating each wave file, as you will be left with a single wave file per track.
