Phil: i just installed caketalking with jaws 8 and it's great. Actually, I
find jaws 9 quite good for my uses in the law field, certainly better than
the last version of 8. The last update to 8, (8.0.2173), i thought, had
some real problems, so I don't know if I'd try that one. . In fact, before
9 came out, I tried, without success, to get the earlier update to jaws 8.

8, as I feel it's stable enough to look at now. I won't be going anywhere
near Jaws 9 just yet. Way too buggy and unstable to bother with.

That's very true. In fact, (and I appologize if this is slightly off
topic,) different versions of jaws seem to work better on some websites
than others. For example, on my system, I notice that jaws 7.0 works
better on ebay than jaws 7.150. I know from discussions with Phil Muir,
that he prefers using jaws 7.150 with Sonar. So, unfortunately, this is
highly subjective.
