Martin:
It seems that the dongle may cause more problems when used in conjunction
with firewire and usb devices as opposed to pci devices. I'll need to
install my motu 828 on my ain daw to ake an a/b comparison.

Subject: [ddots-l] CT and JFW with dongle
Hello!
Over the DancingDots faqs I got the information that Sonar's audio support
is influenced badly by the JFW dongle driver.
Running that kind of JFW on my office pc with
Windows XP Home,
Sonar 4.04,
CT 4.03,
JFW 6.20,
Edirol FA-66,
I get midi dropouts I never got before.
My keyboard (Roland JX-1) for triggering my sound modul (Roland SC-55) and
the SC-55 are working well in stand alone operations.
I thought it is the midi interface of the FA-66 but could not find any
informations about it in the web.
Could it be the dongle driver for the JFW copy protection?
Best! / Martin
