[ddots-l] Re: Burning an audio CD.

Like I said, you can record in MIDI and then create audio tracks when you've
finished tweaking all your MIDI parts.
Good luck,
Kevin

So far I"m recording in audio using the synth options on the motif for my
instruments. So far I have guitar and bass.

You are correct. You need audio to make a CD. However, if you're using
MIDI synths, you can edit your notes more easily in MIDI than you can in
audio, at least initially. What instruments are you playing?

Hi there!!

I'm not there yet but I hope to be there within the next couple of hours. I
am recording all my tracks in the audio format. I was also wondering, what
is the advantage to recording in Midi format versus audio? Doesn't the
finished product eventually have to be converted into an audio file at the
very end anyways? Thanks. Sorry for all the questions.

Karen

First, you have to make sure you've made an audio file of the project.
The file has to be a 16 bit 44.1Khz file before it can be burned. Have
yougotten that far?
If not, you'll have to convert your MIDI to audio. The process for
doing that varies depending on whether you used hardware or software synths
or a combination of both.
Let us know where you are in your project and someone will fill in the
gaps.
Kevin

I was wondering can somebody tell me how you would burn a CD of a file
produced in Sonar 7? I feel like an idiot for asking, but I am totally
stuck. Thanks.
