[ddots-l] Re: Audition in the insert patch dialog

Aaah! It has been so long since I've inserted patch changes. With so mmany synths being multi timbral these days it hardly seems necessary. But if you are in that situation, unfortunately that is a problem.

Gord, of course, that's what I do. But when I want to insert a patch change in a track I wish I could select it by playing the keyboard to find out what the displayed patch in the respective field of the bank/patch change dialog sounds like. To me it seems kind of unconvenient to first look for it in the track property and having to memorize it or even take a note to be able to arrow to it in the bank/patch change dialog. Anyway, if it has to be like that I'll cope with it. Thanks!

You should be using the track properties dialog if you want to audition patches.

Hi, when I'm in the insert a new patch dialog, I can read the name of the focussed patch but can not audition what it sounds like. Is this the way it's intended to be?

My Synth is a motif 6 and I'm using sonar 4 with CakeTalking.
