with my USB2.0 audio drive, I'm getting occasional glyches where I didn't
get them on my Firewire drive. Since the bandwidths for both USB2 and
Firewire400 are essentially the same, I wonder if the cluster sizes could be
making the difference.
On the firewire drive, I formatted with a cluster size of 32K. The USB is
pre-formatted with a cluster size of 4K(windows default).
Would it be worth the while to re-format this new drive for cluster size of
32-or even 64K? Does it make that big a difference, or would I get the same
or better result by a different approach--maybe the I/O buffer size?
