You wrote a very interesting point on Sunday, August 15, 2010 21:46 where you stated the following: Hardly anything has poly aftertouch anymore in order to handle the independent string bends). <snipped>
Yup, know what ya mean there; that's why I have to record multiple tracks when I'm doing pedal steel parts. I had an Ensoniq EPS sampler that had poly aftertouch that I could do some interesting things with, especially when working with guitar samples. When I was a Concert Artist/Product Specialist with Technics Musical Instruments back in the '90s, I used pitch envelope generators to create bends when I played at high velocities. The pedal steel sample wasn't too bad, but I was able to tweak the one in the TTS synth to do a halfway decent job until something "better" comes along.

I'd love to be using the samples found below however, don't believe they are accessible.
Just enter on the link below go to MP3's, press enter on one of them, now press cursor key and arrow up or down until you hear jaws say, "No information available" press right mouse key and press enter. The MP3 should then play.
These samples are amazing. http://www.samplemodeling.com/en/demos_trumpet.phpSteve W
