I don't have an xs but it does have 8 sliders and knobs instead of four.

Gord: what does the Motif SX allow you to do as a controller that the Motif Es does not for changing drawbars? John Fioravanti ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gordon Kent" <dbmusic@xxxxxxxxxxxx>

Well, this is what I usually do. I select a preset from the b4 properties window that is close to what I want. I have assigned the parameters that I need to change, such as all the upper manual drawbars and other stuff like key click, overdrive, leslie speeds, etc. in the synth rack. The original b4 had a template for the evolution uc33 controller but the new b4 II does not. However, nearly every parameter does have midi controller numbers assigned to it so that if you have a midi controller like one of the edirol pcr series or even the motif xs, you should be able to control the drawbars and such.

Gord, you use that B4, right? Please describe how you use it, what is
accessible and what is not.

John:
The support for 3rd party plug-ins and synths is still the same. It would be virtually impossible to script for the hundreds of plugs out there, and
each one has its own interface and issues to deal with. Some folks are
working with Hot Spot Clicker and developing sets for specific synths and
effects. Keep in mind though that you can access most parameters in the
track inspector or synth rack.
