Kevin,
I'll give it a shot.
1. If you select all the tracks of interest (Alt+Enter) and then open the track
menu, move to properties, can you affect the change there?
2. Select all events and then do a search/replace for notes only with a
duration in a tight range, say 53 to 58 tics and replace with the longer
duration.
3. Make sure you've first selected all the events before trying to filter them.

Subject: [ddots-l] 3 quick questions.
Hey folks. Had a few quick questions regarding Sonar 7.
1. Is there a way to change parameters on more than 1 track at a time? For
example. I'm opening a midi file and then instantiating a gm plugin such as
band stand or cakewalk tts1. How can I select the outputs of all the midi
tracks and set them to the desired softsynth at 1 time? I tried selecting all
midi tracks and performing the change, but no dice. In Pro tools, I would
command click on an input or output, and all tracks would be effected. Is there
an equivalent?
2. I'm currently working on Grand Funk Railroad's "American Band." As you
know. There are organ stabs throughout the chorus. I want to shorten the
duration of said organ stabs from 55 ticks to about 25. In the event editor,
how can you select all notes and change all of the durations? Tried several
things, but only the top most event was effected.
3. I can't seem to get the event filter to work properly. I hit shift f3 and
make my changes. According to the ct manual, when I press enter, I'll be back
in the track view. However, my focus is placed on the maximum duration field.
The only way to get out of this dialog is to hit escape. In tern, all of my
events stay selected, instead of the ones I chose in the filter dialog. Any
help on these would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
