Registration is now open for the Online Training for Parents and Families
on *The Role of the Intervener in Educational Settings.*  This is Module 3
of the Open Hands, Open Access (OHOA) Intervener Learning Modules.  This
next study will begin October 3 and run until November 7, 2016.

I'm also sending you information on how to join *Family-to-Family
Connections*, another opportunity for family members to connect with one
another.  Feel free to share with other families. Also, please let me know
if there is anything I can do to help you participate in either of these
family specific events.

*The National Family Association for Deaf-Blind (NFADB) and the National
Center on Deaf-Blindness (NCDB) are pleased to announce the next online
training for parents/families of children and youth who are deaf-blind on:*

*The Role of Interveners in Educational Settings*

Come learn about:

   - The role of interveners.
   - The principles of intervention.
   - How interveners function as members of students’ educational teams.

Primarily self-study, but hosts are available to provide assistance. We
will also have several optional online video sessions.

1 to 2 hours per week for 5 weeks (you work on your own at times that are
convenient for you).

Patti McGowan (NFADB) and Peggy Malloy (NCDB) will provide online support
and feedback.
