Hi Michael.
One of the biggest gripes folks express about DocBook is the relative
complexity of creating new layout pages, like custom title pages,
layouts, etc.).
In approaching this issue for our project, I have already created a
title page in html and run it thru html2db, and am now integrating it
into my docbook customization layer... but I thought perhaps this
could be a new feature for html2db.
What do you think about being able to pass a --titlepage=[pagename],
allowing an html document to serve as the layout for the titlepage,
perhaps containing codes for <title>, <subtitle>,<corpauthor>, etc.?
I think it would go a long way towards making html2db a full 'kit'
for highest-quality DocBook (and by extension, .pdf) rendering of
html-based documents.
What do you think?
Micki
