but you get into trouble if you use an extension in your external html file=
,=20
that your docbook-to-something converter can not process, e.g you need .eps=
=20
images for some db2ps converters. In this situation you need those=20
alternatives to have even a chance to produce the wanted output format. You=
=20
have to create the necessary images formats by yourself (like you do now).
I have made the experience that sometimes the first imagedata entry is used=
,=20
even if its wrong, regardless how many useful alternatives exist afterwards=
=2E=20
Then you need to force the extension to the needed one, to support image=20
formats which in turn are not supported by html.
As conclusion, I think we can not rely completely on the extension found in=
=20
the html files.
