Hello WA goalballers
We kick off term 2 on Saturday 28th April
We hope to see you all there :)
This term we will pick up the pace and help get the best goalball out of you.
About Goalball Welcome all Goalballers and fans.
Goalball is a fun sport for people who are blind or vision impaired.
The sport has been around since world war II and was used to assist soldiers
who had lost their sight in battle and needed to reorientate themselves. This
game has since exploded across the globe and is a feature in the parolympic
games.
In late 2009/2010 the boys from the West started playing this bruising sport
for the 1st time in over 3 decades and have developed a group that has since
represented the state of WA in the national championships. The game gives
opportunity for people with vision loss a way to develop their skills and
fitness, compete at a high level, bond as a team and with others, and most of
all having a fun time. The game suits both men and women of all ages. If you
