I am trying to edit one of my OvationPro files on SA RiscPC 4.39. Using

I'd be interested to look - send it by private email, not to the list.
Obviously it's a bad situation, my general advice is that you can clean up documents by saving as DDL and then reloading the DDL, something you could do occasionally, and not just when things go wrong.
Second don't propagate documents, i.e. creating a new document by editing an old one. The problem with this is that if you keep using old documents damage done by bugs long fixed keeps appearing.
