[softwarelist] Re: type 5 error

     Sorry! I shouldn't have sent that last message saying that StrongED
was alright after the crash. While Ctrl-X, etc worked as advertised, other
things didn't!

     In particular the keyboard macros had been 'damaged' such that, for
example, the entry for 'Ctrl-D' was used for both that short-cut and the
short-cut for 'Ctrl-Shift-D'. I quit StrongEd and reloaded it - tried again
- but the same error persisted. Eventually I discovered that I needed a
warm boot to clear the problem - the same on both my machines!

     Please forgive me if you think I have been beating a small problem to
death - but since it happens on two machines independently, I think that
any clues might be useful - offering the possibility of that 'Eureka'
moment to someone reading this!
