I tried printing to a different (Brother HL-760) printer and the print
order was as expected.
I think that the 7100 own 'normal' order is determined by the fact that
the printed sheets land on top of each other face-up - this means that to
have the sheets in the correct order when picked up from the output tray,
the last sheet needs to printed first. What threw me is that all my
previous multi-sheet printing on the 7100 had been via RISCOS Printers
which, by default, print sheets in order regardless of the final pile!

I have now set the Windows 7100 driver to print in reverse, which results
in a RISCOS-style printout order.
