Yes, that would be a relief.

True. I am very interested in seeing this happen. For obvious reasons 
it would not matter for ArtWorks, but a lot of users embed ArtWorks 
files in OvationPro documents and it would also help with PDF 
generation from EasiWriter/TechWriter.

I think that is a bit optimistic - compared to Gimp-Print, whose 
usefulness was relatively easy to convey, it would be a bit more 
difficult to explain to the average user that he needs a PostScript 3 
driver.

I have been thinking about such a project for ages and I even got as 
far as obtaining the PostScript driver sources from Paul Middleton in 
2002. So, I would certainly be interested in joining or supporting 
such a project.
