The point about "level 3" is that PostScript level 3 provides a very 
simple solution to many of the horrors in the current Acorn drivers - 
for example rendering sprites with a mask.

Even if you don't have a level 3 printer, you might want to generate 
better PDFs.

As an aside, in case you think Acorn didn't do a good job, Windows just 
does not support such things.

Things could also be done better outside of level 3.

I think such a project would raise enough money to pay the programmer. 
(500 copies at 30 quid a time?)

I was in negotiation with Paul Middleton (necessary because you need 
access to the source code of RISC OS) and John Tytgat (PostScript 
expert).

So, if anyone fancies themselves as an entrepreneur...
