[softwarelist] drawing lines on an OPro masterpage

i've got my header and footers set up on masterpages for all 12 
chapters, left and right.

i'd like a thin line to separate them from the main text.  (ie, i'll 
need to place the line 24 times.)

i don't seem to be able to draw a line at all on a master page.

is there some trick i havent grasped?  i choose the line tool, click 
at the beginning point, a blue square appears, click at the end point, 
a blue square appears.  now how do i finish?  OPro manual (p93) says 
the procedure is exactly the same as drawing a frame ... but ...
