Is there any way of presetting the position at which various windows
appear? Every time I load a document, I have to move and resize the main
document window, and move each of my default applet windows from the middle
of the screen to near the side, where I can get at them.
In brief, edit the template file for the main program. This problem has
been discussed quite a bit here so the mail list archives will contain
more info.
With applet windows the situation is a little more complex because some
of them have flags you can set to have the windows open in various
positions.
