I have Trend installed as the virus application and when saving a text
selection it came up with a high warning that 'OVP is trying to
configure windows so that a program library (DLL) is automatically
loaded by some or all of your applications etc.'
Should I be worried!!
Yes, but probably about the quality of "Trend".
I really don't know. OP won't configure Windows to load a DLL
automatically. In fact after installation it does not configure Windows
at all.
I wonder if the same event happens if you do other types of save?
I can imagine that doing a save forces Windows to load the DLL for the
save dialogue - normally that is part of Windows, but you can get
enhanced replacements. So the first save you do from OP may generate the
above event.
Another though is that some applets write to the OP program folder -
this was discussed a few weeks back in the light of Vista stopping such
operations, and I provided replacement applets. I don't think this is
the explanation though.
