Paste into an empty frame - result text

Paste into a frame which contains a picture - result a graphic

Thanks very much for this - Who would have guessed that. 

I suspect I am a sinner.

Anyone got an idea how it should work? Perhaps yet another paste option "Paste as graphic" (not too keen). Maybe better always paste as a graphic into an empty text frame.
