It appears one is not to have anything in the scrap directory first,
Presumably this is the SyncDiscs scrap directory? I would say that the
scrap folder must not be on the primary or secondary path.
Probably this is a programmers point of view but if you sync harddisc5
to harddisc4 and put the scrap folder for harddisc4 on harddisc4 you're
asking for something which is not logically possible.
Asking sync discs to do such a task will end in tears - it will crash or
go on until it runs out of memory or the disc fills up.
There are ways around this.
(1) Sync disc5 to disc4 and put the scrap folder on disc6 (which is how
I originally used the program).
(2) Later versions of SyncDiscs let you set up paths to ignore. So set
up the path to the scrap directory as a path to ignore.
(3) Only sync stuff which does not involve the scrap path. e.g.
Sync disc5 to a folder called disc4.backup and have the scrap directory
as a folder called disc4.scrap
The third option is probably the clearest.
