Thanks.
I'm having trouble getting to to copy the 70gb contents of
HardDisc5 (112gb) to
HardDisc4 (114gb)
It appears one is not to have anything in the scrap directory first,
as what happened was it put tens of copies of '0 scrap' within itself,
recursively. !SyncDiscs did: ADFS::HardDisc4.$.0 scrap.0 scrap.0
scrap.0 scrap.0 scrap.0 scrap.0 scrap.0 scrap.0 scrap.0 scrap.0
scrap.0 scrap.0 scrap.0 scrap.0 scrap.0 scrap.0 scrap.0 scrap.0
scrap.0 scrap.0 scrap.0 scrap.0 scrap etc
and no copy of HardDisc5 was done.
So, I configured it with /no/ scrap dir, and of the options only
'overwrite newer files on secondary' is ticked. I went away while it
did its work and returned an hour or so to no SyncDiscs d/box on the
screen and the copying was partial (6gb of 70).The log was 'in use'.
This is not what I expected.
How have you who use it as a backup configured it?
