When you say it doesn't work, do you mean you don't get the chance to save a file (i.e. no save dialogue)? that the file is not saved? or just that the * does not vanish from the title bar?

None of the above. The "Save" button (vs "Save as") works.

It works OK for me.

After playing around some more, I think it's a problem with my setup, not OPW.

I have a dim memory of hearing this problem before, but I can't bring to mind what the solution was, or find the problem in the mail list archives.

Try "Save StyleSheet" or "Open" from the OP file menu.

Both work, but take a long time ... 45+ seconds. Same with File>Save As

The dialogues that open are standard Windows ones supplied by Windows - you'll find many programs use them. It is possible for them to be replaced or for them to fail. So it would be interesting to see if they work from other programs e.g. DPScan.

Now, I notice I get the a similarly slow Save As response from MSWORD.

Clearly, something is awry :(
