I suppose OP should have look for some sort of "up call" (RISC OS
terminology - the Windows equivalent escapes me at the moment) and when
the referenced file is changed automatically update the document contents.
I think that is how it should work, but it would mean that there would
be no need for dragging/dropping the picture into the document.
That would be useful.
