These are the well known and dreaded "redraw errors". They are inexcusable. Alas they're not simple bugs, it is not a case of fixing things for a 10mm inset rather getting things right for any inset, any font size, any design of font.
You'll find that using a particular font at a certain size will be very messy whilst slightly different settings will be fine.
When I was writing OP I cut things a bit fine because it had speed advantages. Given the complexity of the redraws it is unlikely I will return to it.
The same thing happens on the Windows version, where it is even less excusable, Windows does provide the facilities to improve matters.
